Students: 11th-12th
Beginning with the junior year, assigned project staff will intensively monitor the college planning process of each student. Monitoring will include:
- Presentation of pre-college/freshman year experience information;
- Completion of college entrance exams;
- Providing opportunities for campus visits;
- Narrowing colleges of interest;
- Assistance with applications for admissions;
- Tracking acceptance notifications received;
- Completion of financial aid application;
- Advice for final college selection; and
- Insuring about financial aid award notification.
Seniors will participate in a number of workshops and individual sessions focusing specifically on college admissions, financial aid, and ACT prep. Junior/senior countdown will be the beginning of the final stages of the College Project. This will be a crucial time for students, a time when they will be made aware of important dates that will affect their graduation, enrollment into a college or university, and financial aid application.
